BUSINESS OWNERS: Introducing the new Shop Local Canyon Lake Advantage Card

Program Summary

The City is offering a local shopper and business incentive designed to work to strengthen the local economy by supporting businesses, attracting visitors, and creating a stronger sense of community in Canyon Lake.

The Canyon Lake Advantage Card focuses on community engagement, and tangible benefits. This initiative will make a lasting impact when Canyon Lake businesses participate in the program. Participation will ensure Canyon Lake remains a thriving and vibrant shopping destination, designed to attract our local and neighboring community shoppers.

Campaign Objectives

•Boost Local Economy: Encourage residents and visitors to spend money within the Canyon Lake city limits, helping local businesses thrive.

•Promote Community Spirit: Strengthen connections between residents and business owners, fostering a sense of community and mutual support.

•Increase Foot Traffic: Drive more customers into local businesses, particularly during off-peak and seasonal times.

•Attract Visitors: Make Canyon Lake an attractive shopping destination by offering discounts that encourage locals and tourists to shop and explore shop local offerings.

Who can Participate?

All Canyon Lake brick and mortar and home-based businesses—retailers, restaurants, service providers, and more—can sign up to offer special discounts exclusively for Advantage cardholders. The program is free for businesses to participate. Participants will offer discounts ranging from 10-15% off purchases, card holder exclusive promotions, buy-one-get-one-free offers, or other creative incentives. Some businesses may offer bonus perks such as free samples, VIP access to special events, or early access to sales, the offer is up to you.

Program Marketing

A public directory will be available, listing all participating businesses along with the discounts being offered on the City’s dedicated webpage. Social media coverage on the City’s Facebook and Instagram accounts will be offered as an additional marketing benefit. Advantage Cards will be available for shoppers to purchase at City Hall for ten dollars once a majority of business participants are secured.
