The City of Canyon Lake contracts with the Animal Friends of the Valleys for Animal Control services. Their officers are empowered by state law to enforce regulations concerning the safety of Canyon Lake residents and their pets. For more information, call them at (951) 674-0618. To report animals endangering people or other emergencies after hours and on Sundays and holiday, call 9-1-1.

Animal Friends of the Valleys offers animals for adoption and provides animal services to the cities of Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, Menifee, Murrieta, Wildomar, and Temecula. They are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that is dedicated to promoting the humane care of animals through education and a humane, proactive animal services program. They are committed to preventing the suffering of animals and ending pet overpopulation.
