Water Wednesday: Try These Tips from EVMWD

Looking to save money on your water bill? Try these tips from the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD) to conserve water as we approach the hot summer season.

1. Use sprinkler irrigation systems after 6 p.m. and before 6 a.m.

2. Water by hand with a hose that has an automatic shutoff nozzle or a drip irrigation system if watering during the day.

3. Adjust sprinklers and irrigation systems to avoid overuse, runoff, and waste, and be sure to repair broken equipment.

4. Cover your swimming pool during periods of extreme heat.

5. Avoid washing down your driveway or vehicle and avoid watering during a rain event or for 48 hours afterward.
