Environmental Impact Report Requested for Proposed Meadowbrook Cemetery Project

The City of Canyon Lake has formally requested that a full Environmental Impact Report (EIR) be prepared for the proposed Meadowbrook cemetery project. An EIR would provide detailed analysis and transparency for the public, responsible agencies, and decision-makers, including evaluation of environmental impacts, project alternatives, and mitigation measures.

The City’s request is based on concerns regarding water quality, environmental impacts, and the long-term effects of the project on the surrounding community.
